Reflection

Ahh 2014 where did you run off too….  I could post all of what 2014 brought me but as I sit here watching ESPN with my husband, I’m reminded more of what I’ve learned this year and that will hopefully help me out in 2015. And here is it…

I’ve learned that I am not who I was 5 years ago.

I’ve learned Jesus never fails.

I’ve learned that planning meals with my husband saves me so much time.

I’ve learned Jesus never fails.

I’ve learned that it’s okay to disagree with my parents as long as I do it with respect.

I’ve learned Jesus never fails.

I’ve learned that people will disappoint me, but I need to love them anyways.

I’ve learned Jesus never fails.

I’ve learned that while old friendships seem to fall by the waist side NEW ones emerge at the time I need them most and least expect them.

I’ve learned Jesus never fails.

I’ve learned that accessorizing is my favorite thing to do when getting ready.

I’ve learned that Jesus never fails.

I’ve learned that while old friendships seems to fall by the waist side NEW ones emerge at the time I need them most and least expect them.

I’ve learned Jesus never fails.

I’ve learned that laundry has to be my least favorite thing to do. (Wait, maybe I’ve always known that.)

I’ve learned Jesus never fails.

I’ve been reminded I’m not promised tomorrow and to cherish memories that I make with my family, husband, and friends.

I’ve learned Jesus never fails.

I’m continuously learning that I’m only as good as a wife as I strive to be and while I may often fail, my husband still loves me.

I’ve learned Jesus never fails.

I’ve learned to trust Jesus even when I don’t know how.

I’ve learned Jesus never fails.

I’ve learned that Jesus always has a plan, but I sometimes must just be still.

I’ve learned Jesus never fails.

I’ve learned that being away from family can be really tough.

I’ve learned that Jesus never fails.

I’ve learned that I’m okay with the woman, and wife I’m becoming, but I will always have room to grow.

I’ve learned that Jesus never fails.

And today, as any other day, I remember that JESUS PAID IT ALL so I don’t have to do ANY of what I’ve learned and what I’m going to learn in 2015, ALONE.

BE BLESSED AND HIGHLY FAVORED IN 2015!

A Blessed Haven

What’s in a Name?

I’m sure you are all wondering how I came up with ‘A Blessed Haven’, Right?

This particular blog name came after some very hard hardships in my life. After being fired from my job (more on that later), financial struggles, and struggling with myself, I needed a creative outlet. An outlet where I could be myself, share my personal struggles and triumphs, as well as connect with others. I wanted a haven to call my own where I could feel safe and be open about my life. I am blessed beyond measure thanks to God alone, but everyone needs a haven. That’s where ‘A Blessed Haven’ came from. I hope you will all join me on this journey as I share about my struggles and triumphs, craft ideas and recipes, my family, and my faith.
